The district of Freienohl offers a swimming pool, a large sunbathing lawn and a playground. The Ruhr valley cycle path is only 500 metres away from the hotel. In nearby Meschede you can visit the Benedictine abbey Königsmünster or the Veltins brewery. A boat trip on the lake Hennesee is also recommended. Further day trip destinations in the area include Arnsberg with its romantic Old Town, the Sauerland Museum, Vosswinkel wildlife park and the stalactite cave in Warstein.
